AUG 1st ALERT

A Note from Darion:
This is an old town alert. Now, I have to admit... We have a public version of the website and a private, town version. There's not that big of a difference, really. The difference is that the messages on the private site are fully automated. No one outside of town needs to know when something is happening! If you live in California, do you need to know when a tornado is coming to Kansas? I didn't think so!
... Sorry if that sounded sassy, I didn't mean it that way.
But thats besides the point! I'm putting this up since there were some larger events that we had to cancel that day... Quite a few people from outside of town were looking forward to them. The past few days have been centered around filling all the holes left in the park by the bugs, so it's taken out half the month of August. We are very sorry!
Anyways, heres the alert:
AUG 1st 2024, 10:30 AM, Code Purple: Unless it is an emergency,
stay within shelter. You may leave town, but will be unable to enter.
There is currently a significant bug infestation localized within the park
that we are working to contain and neutralize. Do not approach or attempt to
interact with any of the large bugs. They are capable of
biting and are easily intimidated. Will be updating.
AUG 1st 2024, 11:43 AM, Code Purple:
At 5:45 AM, a collection of burrows were found within the park. Under further
examination, more were observed. A team was deployed to begin containment and
study. The source was not yet found, but unknown fauna was suspected. At 10:30,
A bug was spotted outside of the containment zone.
AUG 1st 2024, 4:24 PM: The code has been lifted.
Containment has been successful. Remain cautious until the alert is lifted.
AUG 1st 2024, 8:29 PM:
The situation has been fully resolved. There have been
zero fatalities and five injuries.
